Coverage Details and Limitations

Details:

Coverage begins 30 days after payment and expires 12 months after the start of the coverage period.

Coverage applies to any contractually-included system or appliance that is in good working condition upon the effective date of coverage.

Limitations:

Although not mentioned on the AHW website, home warranty contracts often include exclusions and limitations.

Contractors:

When a system or appliance breaks down in your home, AHW pulls from a pool of 40,000+ in-network technicians and sends one your way in a day or two. Every in-network technician is local, licensed, and insured.

Service requests can be made 24/7 by phone or through AHW’s online portal.

When a technician arrives at your home to inspect a malfunctioning system or appliance, be prepared to pay the technician a small service fee, usually ~$75.

Customer Service:

Customer service representatives are available 24/7, either by phone or through AHW’s online portal.

Making a Service Request

Entropy happens. Luckily, AHW customers are covered when an applicable system or appliance breaks down. Here’s what to do when the expected happens:

• • 1) Double-check that the malfunctioning system or appliance is covered under your contract.
  • 2) If you’re covered, make a service request to AHW via phone or online portal.
  • 3) When the technician arrives in a day or two, pay a small service fee directly to the technician (~$75).
  • 4) Sit back and relax while your system is fixed or replaced.
